Private, corporate and off-peak hire
A stage, a rig,
and a room that is
not a ballroom.
Launches, award nights, screenings, fundraisers and parties, in a theatre that already knows how to light a stage and run a sound desk.
What it suits
Events that want a stage
Corporate
Launches and town halls
A raked house facing a lit stage, with a sound system and a projection position. People can see and hear the person presenting.
Celebration
Parties and milestones
The floor sets with round tables and booths. Bring caterers, or keep the bring-your-own tradition the room was built around.
Screening
Film and premieres
A dark room with proper sightlines, tiered seating and a balcony. Better than a function room with a projector on a trolley.
Fundraising
Galas and benefits
The room has hosted benefit nights for decades. A stage for the programme, tables for the dinner, and a name the local press knows.
Community
Meetings and forums
Reduced rates for registered non-profits on off-peak dates. Tell us what you are doing and we will tell you what we can do.
Ceremony
Recitals and graduations
Dance schools, music studios and youth programmes that need a real stage for one night a year rather than a gym.
The floor, dressed
It does not look like a hired hall

Off-peak
Rehearsal, filming and recording
The cheapest way into this room. A fully rigged stage with no audience, hired by the hour or the half day, on days a theatre would otherwise be dark.
- Tech and dress rehearsals for shows playing elsewhere
- Film and television needing a period theatre interior
- Photography and press shoots
- Live recording and streaming, with an audience or without
- Dance and music companies needing a real grid
No public attendance means no front of house, which is why the rate is low. Technical support is optional.
